With a 150-year heritage in delivering industry-leading sleep solutions, we own iconic brands including Serta®, Beautyrest®, Simmons® and Tuft & Needle®.  What You'll Do:   The Business Excellence Manager at Serta Simmons Bedding is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across our manufacturing network.    The role is ideal for a proven change leader who thrives in a hands-on, plant-focused environment and enjoys influencing at all levels of the organization.   If you’re passionate about operational excellence and ready to make an enterprise-wide impact, we encourage you to apply today and join us in shaping the future of our operations.How You'll Do It: Enterprise Continuous Improvement Leadership Leads the deployment and sustainment of Lean and SSPS programs across the manufacturing network Partners with plant and functional leaders to drive operational excellence and enterprise-wide performance improvement Identify, prioritize, and scale cost-savings and efficiency initiatives with measurable business impact Drives Daily Management Rhythm (DMR) maturity and improve SQDCP performance across all sites Sponsors and guide Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Bedding Assessments, and strategic Kaizen initiatives Establishes and maintain Standard Work to ensure consistency and operational discipline   Leadership Development & Capability Building Builds continuous improvement capability by coaching CI Managers and plant leadership Designs and deliver Lean training aligned to business strategy and leadership expectations Fosters a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement How You'll Do It Cont.d: Program & Portfolio Management Leads multi-site strategic initiatives aligned to enterprise priorities Owns network-wide CI roadmaps, ensuring alignment, execution, and results Tracks and communicate progress through KPIs and executive-level reporting Supports senior leadership with strategic planning, prioritization, and execution   Standardization, Governance & Change Leadership Establishes governance for best practice identification, standardization, and deployment Leads audits and assessments to ensure compliance and sustained SQDCP improvements Drives change management and adaptability across the network, championing innovation and continuous improvement What You'll Bring:    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience) 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or operations; multi-site experience preferred Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification preferred Proven experience leading network-wide Lean and continuous improvement initiatives Experience coaching and mentoring leaders in Lean methodologies Mattress manufacturing or similar industry experience preferred   Skills & Capabilities Strong working knowledge of Lean tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, line balancing, visual management, flow/pull, Pareto analysis) Data-driven problem-solving with strong analytical and project management skills Ability to influence and coach leaders at multiple organizational levels Strong communication, presentation, and executive-facing leadership skills Comfortable working independently while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously Proficient in MS Office, Smartsheet, and Power BI; working knowledge of AI tools a plus   Location & Travel Remote-based position Estimated 50–75% travel to plant locations Preferred: candidate located within reasonable proximity to a plant location #LI-AK1    Why work at Serta Simmons Bedding?   When you join SSB, you become part of a winning and diverse team that is excited and committed to helping people get better sleep.
