Position Description The Director of AF/SF Acquisition Modernization will lead strategic initiatives supporting modernization efforts for U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force programs. This role requires a proven leader with deep expertise in acquisition management and program execution, capable of driving innovation and operational excellence across complex defense environments. The position involves collaboration with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external partners to deliver mission-critical solutions aligned with Department of Defense objectives. In This Role, You Will: Provide executive leadership for acquisition modernization programs, ensuring alignment with AF/SF priorities. Oversee program and project management activities, including resource allocation and requirements management. Drive business development and capture strategies to expand organizational footprint within DoD and international markets. Engage with senior-level customers and stakeholders to strengthen relationships and deliver value-driven solutions. Lead geographically dispersed teams, fostering collaboration and accountability across all functions. Qualifications Basic Requirements: 15+ years of leadership experience in defense, aerospace, or acquisition management solutions. Minimum 5 years of Program/Project Management experience within Serco, industry, or U.S. Government. Strong background in acquisition management, resource management, requirements management, and training solutions. Direct experience with U.S. Air Force and/or U.S. Space Force customers. Proven track record in business development, capture management, and customer engagement with DoD and/or international partners. Executive presence with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or business. Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret or hirher level clearance as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or MBA. Additional Information: Travel requirement: 25%.
