Full Description

About the Role SeoulSpice is looking for a creative, trend-driven, food-obsessed Social Media Manager to lead our TikTok presence, produce high-performing content, and generate out-of-the-box concepts. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes TikTok culture, understands what makes content go viral, and can turn ideas into thumb-stopping videos. If you love experimenting with fresh concepts, especially food content, and have a deep understanding of and interest in Asian/Korean culture, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities TikTok Content Creation: Own and grow our TikTok strategy from scratch, posting calendar, and creative direction. Shoot, edit, and produce short-form videos with a strong emphasis on food, taste tests, recipes, behind-the-scenes, and trend-driven content. Stay ahead of platform trends, sounds, and formats to deliver culturally relevant content. Engage with the community: respond to comments, collaborate with creators, and spark conversation. Paid Social & Growth Strategy: Build, manage, and optimize paid campaigns across TikTok (and potentially Meta/YouTube Shorts). Develop data-backed recommendations to improve reach, conversions, and campaign efficiency. Monitor campaign performance and insights. Creative & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bring new, fresh, bold content ideas to the table regularly. Work with internal teams (marketing, ops, CEO) to capture content opportunities. Maintain consistent brand voice and visual identity across platforms. Requirements Must be based in the Arlington, VA or Washington, DC area (onsite content capture required). 2+ years experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably with TikTok as a primary channel. Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar). Demonstrated experience in food content OR a genuine passion for food media, cooking, or restaurants. Working knowledge of paid social strategies and analytics. Creative problem-solver with a test-and-learn mindset. Comfortable being behind (or in front of) the camera. Experience collaborating with influencers or creators. Photography skills. We’re Looking For Someone Who Is: Tapped into culture and TikTok trends. Obsessed with coming up with fresh content ideas. Comfortable moving fast and experimenting. Passionate about food, flavor, and storytelling. Excited to help build a standout brand presence in the DC & Chicago food scenes. Hungry for growth with a quickly-expanding, emerging brand! Interested in and understands Asian and/or Korean culture. About SeoulSpice: Our mission is to share Korea’s delicious food, warm hospitality, and vibrant culture with the world. SeoulSpice began as a simple idea in the mind of Eric Shin, a Juilliard-trained musician in one the nation’s top symphony orchestras. Long before his performances in the concert hall, Eric spent his childhood in Mama Shin’s upscale Korean restaurant where he watched her craft dishes that were as much about hospitality and storytelling as they were about flavor. During that time, Eric didn’t just fall in love with the bold, comforting flavors of Korean cooking, he fell for the way food could make strangers feel like family. Over time, he became a one-man Korean food ambassador, introducing friends to kimchi, bulgogi, and gochujang-spiked everything, and was always amazed by how quickly they fell in love too. In 2016, Eric decided to share Korean love with even more people by launching SeoulSpice, a fast casual restaurant where he brought the same discipline and pursuit of excellence that shaped his career as a musician. Every dish reflects his commitment to tradition, quality, and creativity, with a menu built around traditional family recipes prepared using house-marinated meats, fresh produce, and bold sauces. All prepared From Scratch With Love.
