Responsibilities Sentinel is seeking an NOC Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a premier company and grow your career. As an NOC Analyst, you are part of the operations in a 24X7 Network Operations Center which monitors and supports critical network and server elements using real-time alarming of faults and notifications. You are also responsible to provide timely response to all uptime events, outages, or performance alerts and to follow playbooks and identify issues that require escalation to appropriate technical teams. This is for the night shift position Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 11:00 PM to 9:30 AM CST, with an additional on-call duty. This is a full-time role reporting to Downers Grove, IL and can work remote with occasional support onsite at our Downers Grove, IL headquarters. Qualifications CCNA certification or higher is required 1 - 3 years of NOC experience is required Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution Excellent communication skills with the ability to calmly and professionally articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences in a timely and accurate manner Working knowledge of network monitoring tools and incident management processes Organized with ability to multi-task Ability to quickly respond to problem/critical situations and escalate when appropriate Full knowledge of technology terminology and the ability to assist non-technical resources resolve issues Adaptable to contribute and adhere to various company/department/technology trends The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude We focus on candidates that display our “ACE” factor – Attitude, Compassion, and Enthusiasm to deliver quality solutions with exceptional customer service.
