Full Description

Mandate Accountable for their effective project participation/support in change management related to small/med/large project and change activities as a SME for Automated Clearing House (ACH) Payments via the US Federal Reserve (FED). Act as the owner/SME for assigned projects, and serve as a main integration point for technical, operational and Business projects, ensuring minimal disruption to the business. Also responsible for providing day to day Product Operations Support for ACH Payments products/applications (PEP+ and others). Ensuring management escalation process is executed in a timely manner including written notifications. Responsible for determining work-around processes on production demands. Partner with senior group members to accomplish project deliverables. Support Product Operations and LoB BCP and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity planning and testing throughout the year. Key Accountabilities Leadership · Actively participate in developing creative suggestions for the success of the team. · Manage and prioritize the escalation of incidents in solving production support issues. · Act as lead to trouble-shoot, diagnose, escalate, triage, and solve issues. · Lead various technology initiative projects. Project Management responsibilities as applicable. Production Support & Project Delivery · Supports Technical and Change Management initiatives and projects. · Participates in user training and provides input for job aids and other user manuals. · Responsible for creating test plan/cases and conducting UAT sessions with Users on projects. · Creates operational business process flows/maps as required. · Responsible to execute special/ad hoc report requests. · Monitor system exception processing and system performance metrics. · Responsible for system problem management and escalation. · Interface with various business, operational, and technology support resources. Change Management · Strong analytical skills. Ability to conduct root cause analysis on system, process or production problems and be able to provide appropriate solutions. · Solid stakeholder relationship management skills. Demonstrated ability to build and/or maintain relationships and to understand and react to stakeholder expectations. · Assist in the identification of change impact (current state vis a vis end state) through requirements gathering, mapping, and documenting current and proposed processes. Ensure stakeholders are aware of, and support change. · Support the implementation of new or modified processes or programs to facilitate the achievement of intended results. Risk Management/Contingency Planning · Understand contingency plans and ensure they capture all requirements under the area of responsibility. Facilitate and/or support testing of Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery plans required (i.e., BMOFG, US FED-ACH). Risk & Control · Identify potential risk situations/ impacts and make recommendations or escalate as appropriate. · Ensure all appropriate authorizations/ approvals are obtained in accordance with policies and controls. · Adhere to Change Management attestation process and guideline. · Ensure adherence to all aspects of BMOFG First Principles, Our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Corporate Policy, as well as all applicable legislation, regulatory rules and requirements, and Bank standards, policies and procedures (P&Ps). · Ensure strict confidentiality is maintained for both Customer and Bank information. · Follow security and safeguarding procedures and apply appropriate due diligence in accordance with Bank policy for the prevention of loss, example fraud or defalcation. Authorities: · This role has the authority to: o Initiate Production Incident Recovery Processes. o Collect data, business performance information and results. o Understand/interpret business and system problems/improvements and recommend solutions to project team(s). o Identify and document business unit requirements. Recommend: · System changes, Solutions and course of action, Requirements specifications, UAT plans and results, System access approvals. Knowledge and Skills Knowledge/Certification: · University degree, College Diploma, or equivalent experience. · Strong knowledge and understanding of ACH Payment processing, business products, applications and services, processes, and controls. ACH NACHA message standards certification is preferred but not mandatory. · Specific knowledge and experience with ACH processing using Fiserv’s PEP+ application is highly desirable. · Knowledge and understanding of project management tools and methodologies. · Knowledge of ACH Accounting methodologies related to ACH payment processing Skills: · Strong teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively within direct and indirect teams to ensure objectives are achieved. · Good negotiation and communication skills. · Ability to manage and resolve conflict. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to conduct root cause analysis on system, process or production problems and ability to provide viable solutions. · Strong prioritization skills. · Strong customer service and relationship management skills. · Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the capability to present and articulate complex concepts · Excellent multi-tasking skills covering a wide range of challenges, which are independent and distinct. Working Conditions This job requires minimal lifting or prolonged periods of sitting or standing. The working environment provides minimal exposure to discomfort or risk to safety. When reviewing information, this job requires focused visual concentration with strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills in an environment covering a wide range of independent and distinct challenges. The job requires and provides on-call support and off-hour commitments from time to time. Carrying and responding through a BMO-approved mobile device or PC is required. Will require scheduled and unscheduled overtime for prolonged periods of time on system/application recoveries, project initiatives, or support requirements.
