Position Title: Sr. Java / Full Stack Developer Location: Remote, United States Clearance Requirements: None Position Status: Contract Pay Rate: • W2: $65-$70/hr + PTO • C2C: $75-$80/hr Position Description: We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer with 10+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade distributed applications across cloud and on-prem environments. This role partners with architecture, platform, product, and business teams to build scalable solutions, modernize systems, and deliver high-impact digital products aligned with enterprise strategy. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly skilled engineer who thrives in Agile environments, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and wants to work on modern architectures including microservices, APIs, and cloud-native platforms. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full-stack solutions and product enhancements • Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on system design and technical strategy • Build REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and distributed systems • Produce technical documentation and architecture diagrams • Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and sprint planning • Conduct peer code reviews and promote best practices in secure coding and performance optimization • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis • Support post-deployment monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning • Identify risks, technical blockers, and improvement opportunities • Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business goals • Develop cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure including deployment and scaling • Build business applications using low-code platforms such as Dynamics or PEGA Required Skills/Education: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 10+ years of software engineering experience • Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE/JEE, Spring Framework, Hibernate • Experience developing microservices, APIs, and service-oriented architectures (SOA/ESB) • Frontend development experience with Angular, React, Vue, or Node.js • Strong knowledge of relational databases (Azure SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) • Hands-on experience deploying applications to Azure or other cloud platforms • Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile methodologies • Experience with unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Knowledge of secure coding standards and application security principles Preferred Qualifications • Experience building microservices on Azure (AKS, App Services, Container Apps) • Experience writing Gherkin-based user stories for TDD/BDD environments • Financial or banking domain experience • Microsoft Dynamics 365 development experience • Certifications such as Oracle Java OCP or Azure Developer Associate Shape Your Career with Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
