Position Title: Entry-Level Engineer Location: Lakewood, Colorado Clearance Requirements: None Position Status: Full-Time Pay Rate: $21 – $25 per hour (based on experience) Position Description We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Engineer to join our team in Lakewood, Colorado. This role is designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to apply their engineering education, gain hands-on experience, and grow into a technical expert in the utility and energy sector. You will work under close supervision while contributing to engineering projects that support critical infrastructure. Over time, you’ll develop the skills and independence needed to take on more complex challenges. Responsibilities • Provide engineering and technical expertise in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems • Assist with planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities • Prepare accurate technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches • Continuously develop professional and technical knowledge through training and mentorship • Maintain thorough and accurate records, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients • Support organizational goals while representing the company in a professional and positive manner Required Skills & Education • Bachelor’s degree from an EAC/ABET-accredited Engineering Program, or approved equivalent (including Master’s or Doctoral degrees from qualifying programs) • Understanding of fundamental engineering theories and principles • Ability to research technical issues, evaluate alternatives, and present recommendations • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds • Basic knowledge of electricity, power quality, and distribution construction standards • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Desired Qualifications • Passing score on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam (EIT/FE) • Knowledge of project management principles • Experience in the utility or energy industry About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm—we are a trusted career partner.
