Senator Cory A. Booker is looking for a digital native with a passion for politics to join his communications team as a Social Media Manager. Primary duties of the position include, but are not limited to, drafting and publishing multimedia social content across platforms, monitoring emerging online trends and topics, proactively generating new creative concepts, as well as optimizing content strategies to Senator Booker’s online presence across new spaces. Responsibilities: • Publishing approved content across social platforms multiple times per day • Daily monitoring of social platforms to identify and implement engagement opportunities. • Regular concept generation, with timely execution • Drafting and publishing rapid response content on news or policy • Coordinating with Digital Director and other team members to schedule content • Maintaining a weekly content calendar • Regular monitoring and reporting on analytics Requirements: • Ideal candidate should be a digital native with advanced operational understanding of each major social media platform. • Must be detail-oriented, highly-motivated, and a team player who thrives in a collaborative fast-paced environment. • Ability to ideate, pitch, and execute quick concepts on a daily basis • A strong writer, who has a creative vision for how Senator Booker’s voice can translate to social media • Has good political and strategic digital judgement. • Ability to optimize video clips for social media performance • Flexibility in schedule for rapid response posting Please submit a cover letter, resume and one writing sample in a single PDF file.
