Job Details Job Location: SEI Center - Portland, OR 97227 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 Salary Job Shift: Day Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI) is seeking a strategic, relationship-centered Director of Development to lead fundraising through events, corporate sponsorships, donor engagement, partnerships, and major gifts. This role builds and stewards a robust pipeline of individual, corporate, and community supporters to ensure SEI meets and exceeds its annual goals—ultimately advancing our mission for youth, families, and community. Primary Responsibilities Fundraising Strategy & Leadership Develop a robust fundraising plan to achieve SEI’s Annual Agency Fundraising Goal of $2,000,000. Lead planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and planned giving stewardship programs. Partner with the Director of Strategic Giving on institutional priorities and capital efforts. Donor Engagement & Major Gifts Cultivate, solicit, and steward a donor portfolio of $600,000 annually, with a focus on gifts of $50,000+. Implement digital donor engagement strategies and multi-channel campaigns that deepen donor loyalty and increase giving. Sponsorships & Partnerships Curate sponsorship packages and lead meaningful post-event recaps to secure renewals and upgrades. Build partnerships with community and corporate stakeholders to expand SEI’s reach and influence. Events Leadership Plan and execute fundraising events to ensure brand alignment and exceptional attendee experiences. Track event budgets (revenue and expenses), assess ROI, and continuously optimize the event portfolio. Data, Reporting & Compliance Oversee Raiser’s Edge NXT gift processing, acknowledgments, and record-keeping. Produce dashboards and monthly fundraising reports and uphold financial protocols and audit readiness. Record all donor actions and touchpoints in Raiser’s Edge NXT. Team Leadership & Collaboration Supervise development staff, facilitate work plans, team meetings, and performance reviews. Collaborate across departments to align fundraising with programmatic goals and organizational storytelling. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Progressive executive leadership experience in Development/Fundraising with a track record in revenue-generating campaigns and planned giving. Demonstrated ability to mediate and facilitate complex conflict resolution processes; trauma-informed practices and equity lens in all work. Valid driver’s license required.
