The Commissions Analyst II is responsible for all facets of processing commission exceptions recognizing revenue and working with leadership on process efficiency and external carrier relationships. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manages the commission reconciliation duties for the division at a policy level Researches and resolve commission and non-commission issues in communication with the carrier Assists in data management and integrity of the division Generates monthly cash reconciliation reports for the corporate office Resolves all policy level commission issues where data does not match that of the carriers Prepares and maintains appropriate schedules and reports as requested Supports the development and optimization of the firms proprietary revenue tracking system Researches accounts payable and accounts receivable issues as needed Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by superiors Create maintain and update training documents and procedures Workflows guides and documentation Experience with excel/sheets and knowledge of software systems. Assists with team development providing mentoring support and encouragement. Skills/Abilities: Adept in commissions and non-commissions processes across the team and the impact on the broader organization Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically Proven ability to navigate complex issues and provide solutions for resolution. and resolve conflict Ability to quickly adapt to new circumstances as they arise and balance conflicting priorities. Ability to work with team members and cross functional team Strong desire to learn and gain valuable experience in accounting and finance Excellent oral and written communication skills; an ability to articulate problems solutions and project requirements. Education and Experience: Commissions Analyst I experience preferred Insurance knowledge or experience preferred 3+ years of experience in revenue operations accounting finance strategy and business operations or similar relevant experience required 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets required 1+ years of experience working with cross functional partners and stakeholder management required Physical Requirements: Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
