Job Title: Provider Education Coordinator Location: Troy, MI Duration: 13 Weeks | Temp-to-Hire Schedule & Shift Hours: • Standard Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM • Flexible schedule available (e.g., 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) • Occasional morning or evening meetings to accommodate provider schedules • Occasional travel within Henry Ford Health market areas required • No overtime required Interview Process: • 1st Interview: Manager & Team (1 hour) • 2nd Interview: Manager only (30 minutes) Job Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Provider Education Coordinator to deliver training and education in coding and billing practices. This role is designed for an individual who enjoys problem-solving, teaching, and ensuring compliance through accurate coding and documentation. While most training is conducted virtually, occasional in-person sessions and travel may be required. Responsibilities: • Provide education on coding and billing practices to providers and staff. • Match documentation with services provided to ensure compliance and accuracy. • Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions virtually and occasionally onsite. • Collaborate with providers, coders, and leadership to address coding and documentation concerns. • Stay updated on coding guidelines, payer policies, and compliance regulations. • Serve as a resource for problem-solving coding or billing discrepancies. Requirements: • Certification (must hold at least one): CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA. • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in coding and billing. • Must reside within 1 hour of Troy, MI; candidates outside this radius must be open to occasional long-distance travel. • Strong communication, teaching, and problem-solving skills are essential. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in provider education or coding training roles. • Familiarity with multiple EHR/EMR systems. • Strong virtual training delivery skills.
