Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. This position requires a proactive individual with strong observational skills and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Work Schedule: Tues Wed Thur (2:00pm - 10:00pm) or Wed Thur Fri (10:00pm - 6:00am) Responsibilities • Maintain surveillance of designated areas to prevent unauthorized access or incidents. • Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor. • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for record-keeping purposes. • Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate potentially volatile situations effectively. • Sign trucks in and out of the facility verifying right to enter using a handheld device. Qualifications • Previous experience in security or shipping and receiving is preferred but not mandatory. • Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable. • Experience with securing truck terminals. • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Excellent observational skills with a keen attention to detail. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in security management is a plus. • Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
