Full Description

Scheduler/ Recruiter (Monday to Friday 10-7pm) • Must reside in CA* MUST have scheduling experience. Company: SSG – Security Services Group This is a remote position - remote recruiting and at times onsite event support. SSG is hiring a Scheduler/Recruiter to support Security Guard staffing. You’ll be responsible for high-volume recruiting, screening, interviewing, and scheduling BSIS-licensed security guards across multiple locations and shifts, including real-time updates, last-minute changes, and ongoing communication with staff and internal teams. Knowledge of CA Labor Laws is required. The right person for this role is an experienced Scheduler/ Dispatcher who is professional, organized, and strategic. Key Responsibilities Recruiting • Conduct 6–10 virtual interviews per day to hire BSIS-licensed security guards • Screen credentials, availability, professionalism, and commitment • Assign guards to shifts across multiple event sites (public & private) • Provide new hire information to the HR team to begin onboarding • Extend offer letters and other documentation in place per our team Scheduling • Use Excel-based live schedules shared with operations, HR, and payroll • Send daily shift confirmations, arrival instructions, and directives • Respond to call-offs and coverage changes, securing replacements as needed • Ensure schedules are up to date and compliant (CA labor laws: breaks, OT, etc.) • Track guard availability, scheduling changes, and performance observations • Maintain consistent communication with internal teams and site supervisors Reporting • Create staffing reports for leadership • Answer guard questions related to hours or scheduling • Maintain notes on guard availability and reliability for future events Job Timeline Overview Priorities shift fast — whether it’s replacing a guard, filling a new shift, or updating reports for leadership. The recruiter must remain collaborative, responsive, and focused. Required Staffing Experience • 3-5 years of experience in high-volume recruiting (events, agency, hospitality, or similar required) • Scheduling using Deputy or their time management software • Ability to recruite remotely, and be onsite if needed for events. • Time management for tight deadlines, fast changes, and multi-location scheduling • Ability to complete 6-10 virtual interviews daily. • Proficiency in Excel - live schedule accuracy is critical • Strong note-taking, organizational habits, and professional written communication • Proficient with California labor laws (OT, breaks, scheduling compliance) • Team-first mindset and ability to collaborate Job Types: Part-time, Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour Education: • Bachelor's (Required) Experience: • Recruiting: 4 years (Required) Work Location: Remote
