Level III Utility Security Officer • *Must have Flexibility of scheduling** Full and Part Time positions available Role: A Level III Utility Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors by enforcing security policies and procedures. This role requires the officer to carry a firearm and respond to potential threats with appropriate judgment and professionalism. Duties & Responsibilities: Security Operations • Conduct regular walking patrols to improve safety and proactively identify and report security concerns. • Monitor facility access points, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting premises. • Enforce security procedures as outlined in the Security Post Instructions. • Maintain a professional demeanor across varied and high-pressure environments. • Flexible and dependable, with the ability to adapt to shift work as required. Incident Response & Reporting • Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and other incidents using established protocols. • Maintain detailed logs documenting activities, incidents, and observations for reporting and analysis. • Execute routine tasks such as locking/unlocking doors, activating/deactivating security systems, and monitoring surveillance feeds. Customer Service & Professionalism • Provide excellent customer service by assisting and addressing concerns of visitors and employees. • Ensure compliance with SEI and Client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking violations). • Maintain a professional appearance in a clean and pressed uniform. Supervisory Responsibilities: No Minimum Qualifications: • The State of Texas requires that you must have or obtain and maintain a valid Level III Security License as issued by TOPS when providing any regulated activities in the State of Texas. • This role requires you to operate a motor vehicle. You must have and maintain a valid driver’s license from your state of residence for this role. This role has the following special qualifications: o Must be 21 years of age or older. o Must pass Armed training and possess a valid pistol permit. o This is a driving post, must have a good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Required Skills & Abilities: Minimum Required Skills & Abilities: o Ability to function well in a high-paced and potentially stressful work environment. o Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday), if needed. o A curious nature that helps you remain aware of activities around you. o Ability to remain calm, solve problems, and act effectively in critical situations. o Basic computer experience and ability to use a tablet for security reports. Preferred Skills & Abilities: o Experience with the Microsoft Office Productivity Suite and electronic reporting systems. Minimum Physical Requirements: · Stand at least 1 hour without support or a break · Sit at least 1 hour without a break · Walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping · Climb a minimum of 20 common commercial facility stairs without stopping Security Engineers, Inc.
