Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable Java/Spring back-end services and React/TypeScript front-end applications with CI/CD and cloud deployment in an Agile environment.
2+ years professional experience with Java and Spring Boot, React/TypeScript proficiency, RESTful API development, cloud and container experience, DevOps tooling familiarity, and US work eligibility.
About the role Join a fast-moving team building scalable, enterprise-grade applications with Java/Spring on the back end and React/TypeScript on the front end. You’ll contribute across the full SDLC—from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support—on mission-critical systems in a collaborative, Agile environment. What you’ll do • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable services and UIs (Java/Spring Boot, React/TypeScript). • Develop and document RESTful APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger) that connect front end and back end. • Translate UX/UI designs into responsive, accessible web experiences (HTML, CSS). • Write clean, testable code with unit/integration tests (e.g., JUnit, Jest). • Automate builds, scans, and deployments using CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus IQ, AppScan). • Containerize and operate apps in cloud environments (AWS; Docker; Kubernetes/EKS/OpenShift). • Troubleshoot, debug, and support releases into production; improve observability and performance. • Collaborate with product, security, and peer engineers in Agile ceremonies and code reviews. What you’ll bring (must-haves) • 2+ years professional software development experience (full-stack or back-end focused). • Strong Java fundamentals and understanding of common design patterns. • Hands-on with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA. • Proficient with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling. • Solid grasp of web fundamentals (HTTP, JSON, REST), HTML/CSS, and version control (Git). • Experience building and consuming APIs; SQL/relational database experience. • Exposure to cloud (preferably AWS) and containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift). • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins or GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Nexus IQ, AppScan). • Active Public Trust (or ability to transfer) and eligibility to work in the U.S. • Education: Bachelor’s in progress or completed; additional experience may substitute. Nice to have • Node.js or Python for server-side tasks. • Knowledge of microservices, messaging, and caching. • API first design with OpenAPI/Swagger. • Experience with ICCE and eServices environments. • Security-minded development (SAST/DAST, OWASP).
