Senior HR Consultant (Player-Coach) Location: Orlando, FL - Remote. Candidates MUST be located within 50 miles of downtown Orlando. This position is primarily remote with the occasional requirement to travel to client sites for meetings, delivering training, and attending conferences for presentations. Working hours are 9a-5p ET. Reports to: CEO Status: Full-time, Exempt Compensation: Compensation for this role includes a base salary and performance-based bonus structure. Base salary range is $120-140k. Role Overview This is a leadership role for someone who is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor. You’ll lead and grow a team of HR consultants, oversee client delivery, and directly support a portfolio of clients. You’ll also contribute to the leadership of the company, helping shape our direction as we scale. Key ResponsibilitiesClient Delivery & Consulting (Player Role) • Serve as the primary HR consultant for a portfolio of small business clients across industries. • Provide prompt expert guidance on HR compliance, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. • Identify opportunities to propose and deliver HR projects for clients, including: • Developing and updating employee handbooks • Crafting HR policies and procedures • Designing compensation programs • Conducting employee engagement surveys • Facilitating DiSC profile assessments and debriefs • Deliver training sessions both virtually and in-person on key HR topics; present at client events, conferences, and seminars as needed. • Stay current on HR trends, employment laws, and regulatory changes to ensure clients receive accurate, timely, and compliant advice. • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and proactively identify opportunities to add value. • Ask for referrals and support business development efforts through relationship-building and client satisfaction. Team Leadership & Oversight (Coach Role) • Lead, mentor, and support a team of HR consultants, ensuring high-quality service delivery. • Oversee and review client deliverables to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with Seay HR standards. • Provide coaching and development to team members, including onboarding and training new hires. • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team culture. • Oversee contractors with specialized HR expertise. Company Leadership & Growth • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to shape company strategy and priorities. • Translate vision into action by executing key initiatives and driving results. • Contribute to internal process improvements, knowledge sharing, and scalable systems. • Represent Seay HR’s values and voice in all client and team interactions. What We’re Looking For • MUST have 4+ years of multi-client (examples: HR consulting firm or PEO) HR consulting experience. • 8+ years of progressive HR experience • Proven leadership experience—formally or informally managing HR professionals. • Deep knowledge of employment law, compliance, and best practices for small businesses. • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities. • Demonstrated ability to identify revenue opportunities within existing client relationships and confidently close sales. • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills. • Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by building and improving systems. • SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar certification preferred.
