Job Description Position: Investment Operations Intern – Summer 2026 Location: New York Eligible Applicants: Undergraduate Class of 2027 (May/June) Application Deadline: April 17, 2026 Internship Timeline: May 26 – July 31, 2026 Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 Group Overview The Operations group is responsible for directing, prioritizing, and allocating resources to meet the Firm’s portfolio management, trading, and investor servicing needs. Operations partners with our business to ensure our Operations are efficient and scalable, and upholds a control environment to safeguard client assets. Credit Operations – provides trade, lifecycle, and break resolution support for the Firm’s complex public and private global credit platform Trade Operations – provides trade and OTC derivative clearing, settlement, and break resolution support for all global trading desks Asset Servicing – monitors, processes, and elects on dividends, proxies, and corporate actions (both mandatory and voluntary) across all funds and product types Data Services – maintains the firm’s security master; responsible for pricing the portfolio and generating daily P&L reporting Treasury Operations - monitors counterparty margin calls and collateral balances; provides firm-wide fund liquidity and reporting on counterparty and foreign exchange exposures; and ensures all cash and position movements are processed in a controlled manner The Role: The operations team is looking to hire a summer intern who is excited about financial services and interested in joining the firm’s middle office function to support cross functional collaboration between the front office and counter parties. The Operations Intern will: Gain expertise in middle office functions within the alternative asset management industry across geographies and asset classes Obtain hands-on experience in a small team setting that will provide exposure to a wide range of learning opportunities Mentorship and learning opportunities from experienced operations professionals and access to a network of industry leaders Build a skill set that will be the foundation of your career Qualifications: Rising Senior applicants (class of 2027) Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field Excellent academic credentials (GPA must be included on your resume) Strong interest in financial markets and investment operations Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with data tools (e.g., Python, SQL) a plus Desirable Traits Motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working Demonstrated confidence, maturity, and proactive nature Eagerness to learn and take on responsibility Equal Employment Opportunity Policy Sculptor Capital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
