Job Title: Network Engineer Company Overview: Scout Clean Energy is a leading renewable energy company dedicated to developing and operating clean power plants across the United States. Role Overview: As a Network Engineer at Scout Clean Energy, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure that supports our renewable energy power plants, remote operations center, and corporate office. This role is critical to ensuring reliable and secure network connectivity across multiple sites. What You'll Do: - You will design and deploy multiprotocol network solutions to support diverse operational needs. - You will manage and maintain multilayer switches and routers to ensure optimal network performance. - You will monitor network health and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network infrastructure with operational technology. - You will implement network security measures to protect against cyber threats. - You will document network configurations, changes, and procedures for compliance and knowledge sharing. - You will support remote site connectivity and ensure seamless communication between locations. - You will stay updated on emerging network technologies and recommend improvements. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related field. - Strong expertise in multiprotocol networks, including MPLS, BGP, and OSPF. - Proficiency with multilayer switches, routers, and network management tools. - Experience with network security protocols and firewall configurations. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the renewable energy or utility sector. - Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent. - Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial network protocols. - Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization technologies.
