Job Title: Network Engineer Company Overview: Scout Clean Energy is a leading renewable energy company dedicated to developing and operating clean power plants across the United States. Role Overview: As a Network Engineer at Scout Clean Energy, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure that supports our renewable energy power plants, remote operations center, and corporate office. Your expertise will ensure reliable and secure network operations critical to our mission. What You'll Do: - You will design and deploy multiprotocol network solutions to support diverse operational needs. - You will manage and maintain multilayer switches and routers to ensure optimal network performance. - You will monitor network health and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems. - You will implement security protocols to protect network integrity and data. - You will document network configurations, changes, and procedures for compliance and knowledge sharing. - You will support remote operations by ensuring secure and reliable connectivity. - You will stay updated on emerging network technologies and recommend improvements. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related field. - Strong knowledge of multiprotocol networks, including MPLS, BGP, and OSPF. - Proficiency with multilayer switches, routers, and network security appliances. - Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent. - Experience in the renewable energy sector or industrial network environments. - Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid network architectures. - Knowledge of automation tools and scripting for network management.
