Job Title: Network Engineer Company Overview: Scout Clean Energy is a leading renewable energy company dedicated to developing and operating clean power plants across the United States. Role Overview: As a Network Engineer at Scout Clean Energy, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure that supports our renewable energy power plants, remote operations center, and corporate office. Your expertise will ensure reliable and secure network operations critical to our mission. What You'll Do: - You will design and deploy multiprotocol network solutions tailored to our energy infrastructure. - You will manage and maintain multilayer switches and routers to optimize network performance. - You will monitor network health and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support remote operations and corporate connectivity. - You will implement network security measures to protect sensitive data and systems. - You will document network configurations and update technical procedures. - You will evaluate and recommend new networking technologies to enhance system capabilities. - You will provide technical support and training to team members as needed. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years experience in network engineering or related roles. - Strong knowledge of multiprotocol networks, including TCP/IP, MPLS, and BGP. - Proficiency with multilayer switches, routers, and network management tools. - Experience with network security protocols and firewall configurations. - Ability to analyze complex network issues and implement effective solutions. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the renewable energy sector or industrial network environments. - Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent. - Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization technologies. - Knowledge of SCADA systems and their network requirements.
