Job Title: Network Engineer Company Overview: Scout Clean Energy is a leading renewable energy company dedicated to developing and operating clean power plants across the United States. Role Overview: As a Network Engineer at Scout Clean Energy, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure that supports our renewable energy power plants, remote operations center, and corporate office. This role is critical to ensuring seamless connectivity and robust network performance across multiple sites. What You'll Do: - You will design and deploy multiprotocol network solutions tailored to the needs of renewable energy operations. - You will manage and maintain multilayer switches and routers to ensure optimal network performance. - You will monitor network health and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support remote operations and corporate IT needs. - You will implement network security measures to protect critical infrastructure. - You will document network configurations and update system diagrams regularly. - You will stay current with emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements. - You will provide technical support and training to team members as needed. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related field. - Strong expertise in multiprotocol networks, including MPLS, BGP, and OSPF. - Proficiency with multilayer switches, routers, and network security appliances. - Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies. - Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in the renewable energy or utilities sector. - Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent. - Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid network environments. - Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial network protocols.
