The Financial Reporting Senior Manager ensures the integrity of accounting information by reviewing, recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. They are responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and filing of the company's financial reports.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics, with a CPA strongly preferred. A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, including 2 years in public accounting, is required.
The Financial Reporting Senior Manager reports to the Senior Director, Controller. The Financial Reporting Senior Manager ensures the integrity of accounting information by reviewing, recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. They will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely preparation and filing of the company's financial reports. General Description and Duties The tasks listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job effectively. Ensures timely filings/submissions of Consolidated and numerous subsidiary-level Financial Statements Prepares and/or oversees the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements and supporting documents for both internal and external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation comply with company's regulations, professional standards, and IFRS and GAAP reporting guidelines. Responsibilities include the preparation of footnote disclosures and tie-out of financial statements and disclosures. Confirms that entries, transactions, and accounts are accurately and properly consolidated and are included in internal and external financial statements. Advises management of trends and changes in reporting requirements and recommends the best approach for any changes in reporting. Prepare data and other supporting information requests as needed for internal and external audits. Ensure internal controls over financial reporting are designed and operating effectively. Assist with preparation and updates of accounting policies and procedures as necessary. Responsible for preparing and/or reviewing schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations as it relates to technical areas as well as assisting with the close and monthly finance review processes. Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller. Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Proven track record in consolidation preparation Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting rules and regulations. Strong understanding of SOX, internal controls, auditing practices and principles and best practices in corporate governance. Industry sector experience in renewable energy is preferred. Computer Literate – Strong excel and word skills Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or Economics. CPA strongly preferred. 7+ years relevant professional experience; 2+ years of public accounting experience preferred Scout’s Values Mission-Orientation. Timeline and Location Scout aims to fill the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting position by November 2025. Our ideal candidate will be able to commute to our Boulder office on a 3/2 hybrid schedule.
