Job Title: Assistant Manager, Preconstruction Company Overview: Scout Clean Energy is a leading renewable energy company dedicated to advancing sustainable power solutions across the United States. Role Overview: As the Assistant Manager of Preconstruction, you will be instrumental in shaping the early stages of Scout’s renewable energy projects. Your role will focus on leading the engineering, procurement, and construction planning efforts to ensure projects are designed efficiently and executed successfully. What You'll Do: - You will lead the preconstruction planning process for utility-scale wind, solar, and battery energy projects. - You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to develop comprehensive project plans. - You will manage project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments to support timely and cost-effective project delivery. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and technical requirements. - You will oversee vendor and contractor selection and manage relationships to ensure quality and compliance. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize preconstruction workflows and processes. - You will prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. - You will ensure all preconstruction activities comply with regulatory standards and company policies. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction or construction management within the renewable energy sector. - Strong knowledge of engineering principles related to wind, solar, and battery storage projects. - Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and budget management. - Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams effectively. - Proficiency with project management software and tools. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with utility-scale renewable energy projects specifically in wind, solar, or battery storage. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting processes in the energy industry. - PMP or similar project management certification. - Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple concurrent projects.
