Job Title: Assistant Manager, Preconstruction Company Overview: Scout Clean Energy is a leading renewable energy company dedicated to advancing sustainable power solutions across the United States. Role Overview: As the Assistant Manager of Preconstruction, you will play a pivotal role in the development, design, and construction planning of Scout’s renewable energy projects. You will lead the engineering, procurement, and construction planning efforts, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and meet all technical and regulatory requirements. What You'll Do: - You will lead the preconstruction engineering and design activities for utility-scale wind, solar, and battery projects. - You will manage procurement planning and coordinate with vendors to secure necessary materials and services. - You will develop and maintain detailed construction schedules and budgets to ensure project milestones are met. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including project development, permitting, and construction to align project goals. - You will oversee risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies during the preconstruction phase. - You will prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. - You will support the continuous improvement of preconstruction processes and tools. - You will mentor and guide junior team members to foster professional growth and project success. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction or project management within the renewable energy sector. - Strong knowledge of engineering principles, procurement processes, and construction planning. - Proficiency with project management software and tools such as Primavera or MS Project. - Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams. - Ability to analyze complex technical data and make informed decisions under tight deadlines. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience specifically with utility-scale wind, solar, or battery energy projects. - Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, or LEED. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting processes in the renewable energy industry. - Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple concurrent projects.
