Role Overview: As the Assistant Manager of Preconstruction, you will play a pivotal role in the development, design, and construction planning of Scout’s utility-scale renewable energy projects. You will lead the engineering, procurement, and construction planning efforts, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards. What You'll Do: - You will lead the preconstruction engineering and design activities for wind, solar, and battery energy projects. - You will manage procurement planning and coordinate with vendors to secure necessary materials and services. - You will develop detailed construction plans and schedules to support project timelines. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including project development, construction, and operations. - You will oversee risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies during the preconstruction phase. - You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. - You will support budget development and cost control measures throughout preconstruction. - You will mentor and guide junior team members to foster professional growth. What You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction or construction planning within the renewable energy sector. - Strong knowledge of engineering principles related to wind, solar, and battery storage projects. - Proven experience managing procurement and vendor relationships. - Excellent project management and organizational skills. - Strong communication and leadership abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with utility-scale renewable energy projects. - Familiarity with relevant regulatory and environmental compliance standards. - Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera or MS Project. - Professional certifications such as PMP or PE.
