Role Overview: As the Assistant Manager of Preconstruction, you will play a pivotal role in the early stages of project development, focusing on engineering, procurement, and construction planning. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are designed efficiently and prepared for successful execution. What You'll Do: - You will lead the engineering, procurement, and construction planning scope for utility-scale renewable energy projects. - You will collaborate with project developers, engineers, and contractors to develop detailed project plans and schedules. - You will manage risk assessments and identify potential challenges during the preconstruction phase. - You will oversee cost estimation and budgeting to ensure projects meet financial targets. - You will coordinate with regulatory and environmental teams to ensure compliance with all relevant standards. - You will support procurement activities by evaluating vendor proposals and managing supplier relationships. - You will track project progress and provide regular updates to senior management. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize preconstruction processes. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction or construction management within the renewable energy sector. - Strong knowledge of engineering principles related to wind, solar, and battery energy projects. - Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation. - Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams. - Proficiency with project management software and tools. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with utility-scale renewable energy projects specifically in wind or solar. - Familiarity with regulatory compliance and environmental permitting processes. - PMP or equivalent project management certification. - Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
