Job description: • Potential sign on bonus* Job Summary We are currently recruiting for a Construction Superintendent to support our Heavy Civil operations headquarters in Gilmer, Texas. We are kicking off a bridge project in Bay City, TX beginning in late October that is expected to run a 1-1.5yr duration. The Construction Superintendent plays a critical role in overseeing road and bridge construction projects from inception to completion in the State Of Texas. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management and a strong understanding of safety regulations, project scheduling, and team leadership. 3-5 years overseeing the construction of bridges. Benefits · 100 % Health Insurance Paid by Employer · Vacation · Salary · Holidays · Company Vehicle Duties · Must be willing to travel within the State Of Texas. · Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications. · Manage project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 and ProCore. · Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. · Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and enforce safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations. · Review contracts and manage budgets effectively to ensure financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle. · Facilitate communication among project teams and provide updates on project status to stakeholders. · Implement quality control measures to ensure work meets specified standards and resolve any issues that arise during construction to prevent rework. · Communicate with inspectors, engineers and document very thoroughly. · Supervise site personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure a productive work environment. Skills · Basic knowledge in construction management software including ProCore, Primavera P6, Heavyjob, and Microsoft Project · Minimum of 3-5 years overseeing the construction of bridge sub structure and superstructure. · Strong understanding of construction processes including budgeting, quality control, and blueprint/plan set reading. · Excellent project scheduling skills with experience in managing timelines effectively. · Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead diverse teams on construction sites. · Familiarity with pipeline construction practices and heavy equipment operations is a plus. · Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. · Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret schematics, plans and technical documents accurately. · Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members.
