Full Description

This position will be primarily responsible for supporting all administrative processes related to Claims including Document Capture, Document Indexing, and Claim Analyst processes, including creating claims from client submissions, compiling reports and performing analyses critical to meeting weekly, monthly and quarterly Claims deliverables. This position will also assist in responding to audit requests and performing activities to facilitate the financial close. Document Capture • Ensure that the Claim documents were correctly categorized for processing in XBound prior to releasing the documents for indexing. • Scan any claim documents received via mail • Work closely with the data capture representatives to resolve any issues that might arise • Document Indexing • Set up new claims as needed for clients that submit claims as individual initial notices / request for payment • Verify that all documents attached to the claim are correctly indexed • Verify that all information entered is accurate to ensure that any auto-adjudicated claims are paid correctly. Claim Analyst • Review, enhance, and sign settlements ensuring client payments and refunds are processed timely • Produce and provide claim reports to clients as needed • Monitor workflow and identify potential claims processing issues • Assess and clear claims held in verification / pending claim status • Work cross-functionally to resolve system impediments to claim payment processing • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly paid claim and WIP reports • Establish requirements for system enhances and log tickets for tracking, testing, and implementation • Analyze client trending analyses to understand financial results and identify potential future impact • Assist with internal and external audits • Produce ad-hoc reports for management and other members of the organization as needed • Produce claims metrics reports as required • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions • May perform other duties as required • Working towards bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills • Experience with data analysis, SQL queries preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas) • Detail oriented with strong planning and organizational skills • Ability to learn new systems and manipulate data for reporting • Ability to identify problems and develop innovative, effective solutions • Ability to analyze data in relation to treaty/contract requirements • Ability to communicate and present complex issues/results in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner • Ability to work closely on a team with business users to investigate and resolve data related issues • Ability to adapt to changing business demands • Strong work ethic; commitment to accuracy and excellence • Must have a strong desire to learn and to do more than the minimum required • Strong oral & written communication skills • Strong results orientation & organizational, follow-up, & follow-through skills Hybrid work policy - SCOR is committed to an “in-office” culture where people can collaborate, exchange ideas and establish stronger working relationships while still providing flexibility. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance.
