Child Care Worker $20.50 Responsible for the safety, well-being, care and treatment of the RTC youth. To assist/promote the youth in the development of and achievement of as much independent behavior as youth are capable, through established goals and objective. Key Qualifications" Each Direct Care Worker is directly responsible for the safety and well-being, activities and Program Implementation Of The Program Residents As Well As Provide direct care and supervision to youth in RTC programs, ensuring safety, emotional well-being, and therapeutic support. Support children with self-help skills including hygiene, dressing, toileting, and transitions, promoting independence and dignity. Prepare meals and assist with feeding plans tailored to individual needs. Respond to behavioral challenges using Individual Crisis Management Plans (ICMPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), maintaining a calm and supportive environment. Document incidents, daily logs, and progress notes in real time to support treatment planning and team communication. Participate in enrichment activities, field trips, and recreational programming to promote social development and engagement. Maintain professional relationships with youth, families, and staff, fostering trust and collaboration. Support children during illness and emergencies, including fire drills and medical appointments. Ensure cleanliness and safety of living spaces, reporting maintenance needs and following building security protocols. Qualifications Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required; Must have a valid drivers license The position requires successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training (TCI), which includes a written test and demonstration of the competency to perform physical restraints, as specified by the program and regulatory body. Additionally, staff must successfully complete all required TCI refreshers (6months) to maintain continued employment. Experience in child welfare or OMRDD is a plus Must have patience and the ability to set limits and maintain helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriately and in accordance with Program and regulatory bodies Special Skills: Ability to work with ID/DD youth, ability to be playful and have fun, sign language, second language, computer savvy
