Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Remote Medical Collector (Out of Network) for a respected healthcare organization. This is a full-time, remote, temp-to-hire opportunity for an experienced professional who is ready to step into a high-impact role. PERKS: • Competitive compensation based on your expertise • Remote work environment with all necessary equipment provided (laptop, monitor, headset, mouse, keyboard) • Business casual dress code for virtual meetings • Flexible start times (7:00–9:00am CST) after training • Stable Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends • Initial training program (8:00am–4:30pm CST) to set you up for success • A collaborative team culture with opportunities to grow and make an impact RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage out-of-network billing cases through TDI and FIDR arbitration processes • Submit, track, and oversee claims from initiation to resolution • Draft persuasive appeals to support reimbursement cases • Negotiate effectively with payors to maximize outcomes • Report case progress, metrics, and outcomes to leadership • Partner with your team to meet deadlines and achieve shared goals QUALIFICATIONS: • 5+ years of billing and collections experience in healthcare • Proven experience with Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) OON billing and FIDR arbitration submissions (required) • Strong negotiation skills and a history of securing positive results • Excellent written communication skills, with a focus on appeals and documentation • Ability to work independently and manage caseloads effectively • Familiarity with healthcare billing systems and software COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $35/hr along with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
