Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Administrator for a longstanding environmental organization. This is a fully remote, part-time (20 hours/week) contract role. POSITION OVERVIEW: This flexible administrative role supports a mission-driven environmental association by managing communications, coordinating member engagement, and keeping organizational operations running smoothly. The Administrator will collaborate closely with board leadership, support program logistics, and serve as the primary point of contact for members and partners. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a remote environment, enjoys supporting mission-focused teams, and can juggle a wide range of tasks with professionalism and heart. PERKS: • Flexible remote schedule (20 hours per week) • Opportunity to support impactful environmental and community-focused work • Collaborative and values-driven volunteer board environment • Inclusive culture with an emphasis on connection and member engagement RESPONSIBILITIES: • Serve as the primary point of contact for chapter inquiries while maintaining positive, responsive communication. • Manage administrative operations including digital records, board calendaring, correspondence, and meeting preparation. • Lead member communications: email lists, newsletters, website updates, and social content in coordination with leadership. • Support virtual and in-person program logistics, including webinars, event coordination, space reservations, and speaker support. • Welcome new members, track membership trends, and support member engagement efforts. • Develop and refine SOPs, templates, and communication tools to improve consistency and efficiency across the chapter. QUALIFICATIONS: • Demonstrated experience in administrative support, communication, or nonprofit operations. • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with volunteer leadership. • Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace and Zoom. • Experience with membership-based organizations, board support, or event logistics is a plus; interest in environmental or ecological work welcomed.
