Scion Legal, the national legal recruiting division of Scion Staffing, has been exclusively retained to conduct a confidential search for an experienced Elder Abuse & Personal Injury Litigation Attorney on behalf of a rapidly growing plaintiff-side litigation firm based in Los Angeles, California. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned trial attorney who is passionate about representing injured individuals and elders in complex, high-exposure matters throughout California. POSITION OVERVIEW The firm seeks a litigation-focused attorney with at least five years of elder abuse law firm experience. This role offers significant courtroom exposure and hands-on responsibility, including trials, arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and advanced motion practice. The position offers hybrid flexibility, allowing attorneys to work remotely when not required in court, depositions, mediations, or in-office strategy sessions. Attorneys must be able to travel throughout California for hearings and trial proceedings. While elder abuse experience is required, the firm will provide training and support in personal injury litigation as needed. Both plaintiff and defense attorneys are encouraged to apply. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage elder abuse and personal injury litigation matters from inception through resolution • Attend and conduct trials, arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and court hearings throughout California • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, mediation briefs, and trial briefs • Develop litigation strategy and coordinate with experts • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the internal legal team • Adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment QUALIFICATIONS • Active admission to the State Bar of California • Minimum five years of elder abuse litigation experience in a law firm setting • Demonstrated experience handling depositions, mediations, motion practice, and trial preparation • Ability and willingness to travel throughout California • Strong written and oral advocacy skills • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail • Leadership capability and ability to manage litigation teams • Genuine passion for representing injured clients against insurance carriers and institutional defendants Defense attorneys seeking to transition to the plaintiff side are welcome to apply.
