Key Responsibilities The General Manager oversees the country's operations according to Scimplify’s standards, aiming to run a profitable business as part of a Strategic Business Unit (SBU). Most of their time is dedicated to developing a customer and supplier network, as well as recruiting, developing, and retaining a skilled team to meet both financial and growth targets. • Developing Sales Strategies: Formulate and implement effective sales strategies and plans that align with the company’s overall business goals and objectives. • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and ensuring the sales team meets or exceeds sales targets. • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Oversee sales forecasting and reporting. Monitor sales metrics and KPIs to assess team performance and make data-driven decisions. • Sales Closure Leadership: Drive the closing phase of the sales cycle by guiding the team through negotiations, resolving any last-minute issues, and ensuring contracts are signed to secure new business. • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and manage strategic partnerships and alliances that can drive business growth and open new sales channels. • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and adjust tactics as needed. • Sales Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance sales performance. • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to sales performance, such as market shifts or competitive threats. Qualifications • 7 years+ of experience in the Specialty Chemicals sector within the relevant geographic area. • Should be a P&L owner and a leader. • A proven track record of successful client engagement and acquisition, ideally as a partner or senior consultant. • Should have good commercial understanding • Excellent verbal & written communication skills • Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills • Demonstrated sales / business development capabilities.
