Summary: Are you a creative, detail-oriented, and driven professional with a passion for developing innovative premium protein products? Schweid and Sons is looking for a Commercialization Brand Manager to add to our team. Reporting to the Director of Innovation, this role will be responsible for driving both top and bottom-line growth through innovations that will outpace the market via collaboration on the development of 3-5 year strategy and innovation pipelines. Schweid and Sons is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills. You will lead innovation and product development projects and initiatives to take the company into the future. This role focuses on leading the process of bringing new products, line extensions and product improvements to market, while managing the Stage Gate process from Ideation to Commercialization. To be successful in this role, you must have innovation and product marketing experience, strong project management skills in launching new products, ability to work cross functionally, and priority setting expertise. This role requires knowledge of insight development tools and market dynamics to identify trends and concepts that resonate with consumers and end users. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and brings a balance of strategic thinking and execution. You will work on innovation strategy, insight development, apply structure, tools, and clear communication to drive progress, ensure accountability, and enable timely decision-making. This role is also instrumental in reinforcing Stage-Gate discipline and driving continuous improvement in how the organization operates innovation. Job Functions /Responsibilities: • Lead the Innovation and Commercialization process for all channels: • Fuzzy front end and exploration • Innovation and Line Extensions • Renovation and/or Quality Improvement • Packaging – new, change to existing, label changes • Cost Savings initiatives • Other Business Continuity, e.g. new vendor qualifications • Skilled at storytelling, both in-person as well as written, for senior leadership, customer presentations, and organizational alignment. Skilled at driving Insight to Action. • Develop project plans and timelines with inputs from the cross-functional team, understanding interdependencies, implications/risks, and clarity of key milestones/critical path. Seeks to understand the activities of the various functions, asking questions to drive clarity in the project approach/timeline. • Monitor the progress of project action items, completed tasks, etc. from development through project completion, making tweaks to the timeline and documenting shifts/changes and highlighting constraints and risks to timing as needed. • Lead analytics and forecasting for innovation initiatives, including identifying risks and opportunities, driving gap-closure plans, and managing the innovation budget. • Facilitate the Stage Gate process to ensure that projects are presented for gate moves, scope updates, etc., at the appropriate time and with the proper requirements. Collaborate on the monthly agenda with project owners and business leaders. • Drive/support business process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiencies within Commercialization/Stage Gate processes as well as interdepartmentally. Qualifications / Experience: • BS/BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or related field is required. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience within a food marketing environment. • Brand Management, Innovation strategy, and/or traditional Food marketing experience. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. • Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills. • Must possess demonstrated ability in managing multiple projects within a specified budget and timeline. • Ability to work effectively with all functional areas at all levels is essential. • PMP or NPDMP certification is a plus but not required. • Able to effectively analyze data to develop presentations and reports. • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).  What We Offer • The expected compensation for this role is $100,000 - $135,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
