In this role, you will own the end-to-end renewal lifecycle for a portfolio of direct SaaS and Content customers, ensuring retention of recurring revenue and supporting long-term growth. You will work closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to deliver a proactive, value-driven renewal experience that protects and expands Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). As a trusted advisor, the Senior Renewal Manager will engage with key stakeholders and executives to reinforce the value of our platform, mitigate churn risk, and uncover expansion opportunities. This role requires a strong mix of commercial acumen, SaaS industry knowledge, and customer-centricity. Key Responsibilities Own and execute the renewal process for an assigned book of SaaS and Content customers, with accountability for ARR retention and growth. Develop renewal strategies that maximize customer lifetime value and minimize churn. Partner with CSMs to ensure business reviews, success plans, and adoption milestones are aligned with upcoming renewals. Lead renewal negotiations, including subscription terms, pricing adjustments, and multi-year agreements, ensuring win-win outcomes. Identify and qualify upsell/cross-sell opportunities during the renewal cycle, collaborating with Account Managers or Sales to close expansion. Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships within customer organizations to reinforce the strategic value of our SaaS platform. Forecast renewal outcomes with accuracy and provide visibility into pipeline health, risks, and opportunities. Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Operations to ensure renewals are processed efficiently and compliantly. Track and analyze renewal performance metrics, customer health data, and SaaS KPIs to drive continuous improvement. Mentor junior team members and contribute to the scaling of SaaS renewal best practices. 5+ years of experience in SaaS renewals management, account management, or customer success, with direct responsibility for ARR retention. Proven success in negotiating SaaS subscription renewals and managing complex customer accounts. Strong understanding of SaaS business models, subscription metrics (ARR, NRR, GRR, churn), and customer lifecycle management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive engagement skills. Ability to analyze customer usage data and health indicators to proactively address risk and identify growth opportunities. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a high volume of renewals simultaneously. Proficiency with SaaS tools such as Salesforce, Gainsight, Gong, and renewal management platforms. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field (MBA a plus).
