SFCS – Overview Scarsdale Edgemont Family Counseling Service is a voluntary, not-for profit family counseling agency providing service since 1920 to those who live or work in the greater Scarsdale area. I. Senior Outreach Coordinator, 24 hours per week Scarsdale Edgemont Family Counseling Service (SFCS) is seeking a dynamic health care professional and/or geriatric case manager for an in-person, community-based position focused upon the promotion of healthy and vital aging. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work effectively with a vibrant senior community and work in collaboration with existing Scarsdale Village services. Key responsibilities: · Conduct in-home assessments, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients · Collaborate closely with key family members, health care providers and other senior service providers · Partner with Village/Recreation Department officials, Senior Resource Officer, Members of the Clergy and the Volunteer Ambulance Corps. · Coordinate volunteer opportunities · Provide referrals for transportation services, home-care agencies and other senior service providers · Plan and host Vital Aging Seminars · Advocate for seniors by attending Senior Advisory Council meetings · Build new partnerships that support aging in place · Pursue funding streams that support senior · Promotes a positive image of the agency Qualifications: · NYS Licensed health care professional; LCSW, RN or Geriatric Case Management · Minimum five years’ experience working with senior population · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills · Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of people · Ability to utilize an electronic medical record · Personal vehicle required Benefits: · Competitive salary of $50,000-$52,000 per year. · Comprehensive individual health insurance (pro-rated) · Employer contribution pension plan after one year (5% of salary) · Tax deferred annuity · Generous time off package including 4 weeks of paid vacation · Friendly and collaborative work environment. · Excellent educational and staff development opportunities. This is an exempt, 12-month, position with availability beginning December 1, 2025. Weekday mornings and afternoon with some occasional evening requirements with advance notice. II. Child Psychotherapist, 8-12 hours-week, Fee for Service: Scarsdale Edgemont Family Counseling Service (SFCS) is seeking a dynamic, fee for service mental health practitioner to deliver in-person psychotherapy services. The ideal candidate will possess the unique skills and techniques required to work effectively with children, age 5-10 years old, couples, and families. Key responsibilities: • Conduct individual-child, family, and couple counseling sessions. • Perform thorough diagnostic, bio-psycho-social and safety assessments. • Develop treatment goals and objectives. • Management of case recordings. Qualifications: · LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC. LCAT’s are encouraged to apply. · Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience required. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to utilize an electronic medical record. • Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information. • Ability to work in collaborative work environment. • Knowledge of family systems theory a plus.
