This is a field-oriented engineering role where you’ll apply your engineering experience to hands-on projects involving design, analysis, and regulatory compliance activities. Key Responsibilities Lead and support investigations, infrastructure assessments, and environmental remediation projects both on site and from your remote/work-from-home office Conduct engineering analyses related to water, wastewater, stormwater, and environmental systems Conduct field data collection, system inspections, sampling, and testing Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, and regulatory submittals Support remedial design and implementation activities under RCRA, CERCLA, and related regulatory frameworks Coordinate with project teams, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders Perform field oversight, data collection, and contractor/subcontractor coordination as needed Work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary project teams both in the field and in remote/work-from-home settings Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related engineering discipline from an accredited institution Professional Engineer (PE) license Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience (including internships, co-ops, or related project experience) in environmental consulting, infrastructure projects, remediation, or water/wastewater systems Demonstrated experience preparing engineering calculations and technical reports Working knowledge of environmental regulations, including RCRA and CERCLA, preferred Experience with water, wastewater, stormwater, and/or environmental system evaluation and design Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills Willingness to perform fieldwork and travel to project sites as required The salary range for this position is $90,000-$150,000, DOE/DOQ.
