This role ensures Savor Seasonings’ ability to supply finished products to our customers in a cost-effective, timely manner with ingredients that meet their specifications. The Supply Manager is responsible for leading the company’s procurement strategy to support the sourcing of quality ingredients for use in our finished products. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, maintains supplier relationships, and guarantees compliance with company standards and regulations. The position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency principally through production scheduling, participation in vendor approvals, and to ensure the supply chain supports business growth. Key Responsibilities: Leadership • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic goals that ensure the company produces customer-approved seasoning formulae in a timely and efficient manner by having considerable influence on input costs and vendor relationships. • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives. • Analyze market trends to identify and communicate risks and opportunities in ingredient and material sourcing. • Lead initiatives to improve sourcing processes, cost-efficiency, and supplier performance. Supplier Management • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure optimal value and quality. • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to ensure consistent delivery of goods. Procurement Operations • Oversee day-to-day procurement activities, including purchase orders, vendor selection, and inventory management. • Ensure responsive delivery of ingredients and materials to meet production schedules. • Optimize inventory levels to balance responsiveness, consistent quality, and cost-efficiency with production needs. • Formulate, manage, and work with Product Development, Regulatory and Quality to execute cost savings and innovation proposals. Compliance and Risk Management • Ensure all procurement activities comply with regulatory requirements, food safety standards, and company policies. • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including disruptions and quality issues. Production Scheduling • Manage scheduling for production ensuring raw material availability and meeting customer deadlines. Work collaboratively with operations as needed.
