Location: Site Locations as Needed Type: Full Time General Job Summary Plan, organize, and lead the execution of electrical substation projects to meet the Company’s safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. This position will be required to be at the job site full time once the projects are in active construction and potentially 50-75% travel otherwise. Responsibilities Lead the on-site project team in the construction of a safe, quality, and profitable project, completed in a timely manner. Review and understand the project proposal and pertinent documents. Determine the best means and methods, including personnel, material, equipment and subcontractors to meet project objectives. Represent the Company in daily interfaces with project owner. Establish and maintain safety as the highest priority as part of the Company’s management philosophy. Manage project field staff, including assigned support staff, superintendents, project general foreman, and assistants. Ensure that the Company project manager is accurately and fully informed of project status including progress, budget, and forecasting. Organize, conduct and represent the company at project coordination meetings at regular agreed upon intervals. Review and approve subcontractor invoices, vendor payment applications and miscellaneous invoices. Collaborate with Company project manager in the detection of scope change and the development and execution of change orders. Ensure timely and accurate timesheets for all field personnel on site Enforce and adhere to all Policies and Processes as it relates to this position. Requirements 10 + years of relevant construction experience 5 + years of experience managing electrical substation projects Possess working knowledge of all projects plans, specifications, Owner Contract, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, drawings, submittals and all other project related documents. Knowledge of all disciplines involved in the construction and commissioning of electrical substations. Ability to coordinate numerous activities among all project stakeholders, including project owner, Company project manager, Company workforce, subcontractor teams, vendors, etc. Self-motivated with skills to motivate others. Strong commitment to safety and leading by example. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.
