Senior Lead Software Eningeer - Private Equity Portfolio Company - $180k Base Salary Senior Lead Software Engineer - Private Equity Portfolio Company - $180k Base Salary Location: Remote (travel couple of times a quarter), anywhere in the US but comfortable working on EST time zone. Join a fast growing, private equity backed professional services firm as a Lead software engineer on complex, production builds. Some of the most important work involves AI and agentic tools and it will shape how the business delivers for its clients. The firm is early in building out its internal engineering team, so you join while standards and practisces are still being written and you have a real hand in defining them. You will be the tehcnical anchor for the most complex builds, working alongside a small growing team of enigneers and bringing critical build capability in house. You will write code, integrate systems, and partner with the business to solve problems properly instead of patching them. You will work with coding agents like Codex and Claude Code, and ship production software that includes agents, chatbots and generative AI meeting enterprise security and governance standards. You have been hands on your whole career and you have leveled up consistently over time. You know what good engineering looks like because you have built it, not just reviewed it. You have spent serious time working with coding agents to build AI systems and you understand what it takes to get those systems out of a demo environment and into production.
