The HR Manager will serve as the primary Super Admin for Rippling, managing system administration, performance management, and compensation strategy. Additionally, they will handle HR operations and employee relations while collaborating with legal counsel and corporate quality leadership.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field and proven experience with Rippling, particularly in performance and compensation modules. A minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including generalist and business partnering roles, is required.
About the Role: We are seeking a hands-on, highly technical HR Manager who loves the "nuts and bolts" of Human Resources. Following a recent implementation of Rippling, we need a system expert who can take full ownership of the platform—not just to maintain it, but to optimize it for Performance Management, Compensation Banding, and automated workflows. You will not be managing a large team of admins to do the work for you; you are the expert admin. You will work alongside our in-house Legal Counsel on compliance matters and partner with our Corporate Quality leadership to ensure operational excellence. If you are an HR Business Partner who misses the tactical satisfaction of building workflows and executing flawless administrative processes, this is the role for you. Who You Are: A "Doer": You don't wait for a coordinator to schedule an interview or update a spreadsheet; you jump in and get it done. A Tech-Native: You are comfortable with HRIS logic. You understand how changing a variable in one part of the system affects another. Detail-Obsessed: You spot alignment errors in documents and missing data fields in reports immediately. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Rippling System Administration (The Core) System Ownership: Serve as the primary Super Admin for Rippling. You will configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the system daily. Performance Management: Build and execute performance review cycles within Rippling. You will set up the 360-reviews, configure the questions, track completion, and generate reports. Compensation Strategy: implement and manage compensation bands within the Rippling interface, ensuring data integrity and alignment with market standards. Automation: Create and manage workflows for onboarding, offboarding, and role changes to reduce manual errors. 2. HR Operations & Administration Full-Cycle Execution: Handle the day-to-day administrative tasks including benefits enrollment, payroll support, employment verification, and maintaining digital employee files. Data Integrity: Regularly audit HR data to ensure 100% accuracy. You are responsible for the quality of the data, not just the oversight of it. Quality Partnership: Collaborate with Corporate Quality to ensure job descriptions, training records, and competencies are accurately tracked and compliant with internal quality standards. 3. HR Business Partnering Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and career development. Manager Coaching: Partner with key department leads to help them navigate sensitive personnel issues, utilizing data from Rippling to support decisions. Legal Collaboration: Work closely with our in-house Legal Counsel to handle complex compliance issues, investigations, and terminations. Note: You will have legal support, but you are expected to execute the necessary documentation and process steps. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree: in Human Resources or a related field. Rippling Expertise is Mandatory: Proven experience implementing or heavily managing Rippling (specifically Performance and Compensation modules). 5+ Years of HR Experience: Must have a blend of Generalist/Operations experience and Business Partnering. Tactical Mindset: Willingness to handle administrative tasks regardless of seniority. Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws (Legal Counsel is available for complex matters, but you need a strong baseline). Preferred: Life Sciences sector experience. Understanding of GCP, ISO standards, HIPAA, and GDPR. Why Join Us? Clean Slate: We have the tech (Rippling) and the support (Legal & Quality); we need you to build the processes. Impact: You will see the immediate results of your work by streamlining operations and removing administrative burdens from the team.
