Full Stack Developer Submission deadline for interview selection is 06/15 @3PM CT. Open to non-local fully remote. Digitally Fulfilled Products Technology – manage all the digital product content, subscriptions, and services that customers purchase through Best Buy, for example Protection plans, streaming services, Gaming subscription, Digital Software, Gift wards etc. We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer who will design and development within the Digitally Fulfilled Products domain at Best Buy. Digitally Fulfilled Products are at the center of a critical company initiative to deepen customer relationships through high-value services. This is an opportunity to be part of the growing team and play a key role enabling digital transformation within Best Buy. Project Description: Digitally Fulfilled Products Evolution – building a service layer around a new vendor contracts management system Position Summary/Job Description: We’re looking for Full Stack Developer to perform: • Provide hands-on contributions in all phases of the project lifecycle – architecture, design, development, MVP, and Dev Ops of key technology initiatives • Converting business requirements into technical designs and implementing technical solutions that will reach massive scale. • Contribute to the architecture and development of the digital platform and tools to support key e-commerce and cloud technology initiatives. • Build and enhance core tools that are needed to support development, testing and integrations leading to Continuous Delivery. • Design, articulate and implement the engineering design strategies related to scale, performance, security, and usability. • Use modern web development tools and technologies: Node.js, React Skills Overview: What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job? • 8+ years of Full Stack application development experience • Experience with Java/Spring/Maven • Solid technical communication skills with business partners and other engineer teams • Experience in understanding different integration patterns and their usage during testing • Experience with modern web technologies and NoSQL • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure; AWS / OpenStack Minimum Requirements: • 6+ years’ experience in software development and a bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years of experience without a bachelor’s degree • 4+ years’ experience of hands-on development experience building micro services-based applications using languages such as Java How much time will the resource spend pair programming? Daily 2-4 hrs What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for? • Working knowledge with on PagerDuty, Blue Green deployment and Feature flag implementation • 6+ years’ experience implementing and deploying modern application development technologies such as Java, Groovy, Spring, REST-based web services, SQL and NoSQL databases • 2+ years’ experience with Off-heap caching solutions, such as Redis or Memcached, Continuous integration workflows using tools like Jenkins. • 2+ years’ experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, and Node.js • 1+ years’ experience with Cloud Computing Platforms – AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
