What You Can Expect In This Role Responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and usability of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR). Own complex investment data processes across public and private asset classes, perform advanced analytics reviews, and lead resolution of systemic and high-impact discrepancies. Acting as a subject matter expert in investment data and IBOR operations, partner cross-functionally to enhance data quality, strengthen controls, and drive continuous process improvement initiatives. What You'll Do In This Role • Lead advanced analytics reviews of investment data, including valuation movements, fixed income analytics, structured cash flows, and performance trends to ensure data integrity. • Own the accuracy and completeness of IBOR positions, transactions, and security records across supported asset classes. • Lead IBOR to ABOR reconciliation oversight, performing root-cause analysis on complex or recurring discrepancies and implementing sustainable resolutions. • Serve as a subject matter expert for complex investment data issues, advising stakeholders and developing cross-functional solutions. • Review and support security and transaction setup for complex instruments, including structured products and private investments, ensuring accuracy and proper modeling assumptions. • Interface directly with external asset managers and vendors to validate data inputs, resolve discrepancies, and improve data transparency. • Utilize Intex and other investment analytics tools to validate cash flow models, assumptions, and structured asset analytics. • Develop and enhance exception reporting, trend analysis, and data quality metrics to proactively identify risks to IBOR integrity. • Lead or materially contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives that enhance scalability, control effectiveness, and operational efficiency. • Support and influence system implementation efforts, including IBOR platform enhancements and Bloomberg Enterprise go-live activities. • Maintain and strengthen documentation, control frameworks, and operational metrics related to investment data governance. • Commitment to embrace Sammons Financial Group Companies shared values (Accountability, Connection, Openness, Respect and Integrity). • As stated within the Company Attendance and Punctuality policy, regular attendance is required and expected in order to meet the business service levels and workflow demands. • Participate in other initiatives and/or projects as necessary. What We're Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field required Required Minimum 5 years' of relevant investment operations, IBOR support, or investment data management experience Required Demonstrated experience across multiple asset classes, including corporate credit, structured products, and private or alternative investments Required Hands-on experience with IBOR platforms, investment accounting systems, or comparable complex investment data environments Preferred Experience with Intex or similar structured modeling tools strongly Preferred Demonstrated experience improving investment data processes and implementing measurable quality enhancements Preferred Experience with Bloomberg Enterprise Preferred Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, Alteryx, or comparable technologies Preferred Deep understanding of investment data structures, analytics, and valuation mechanics across asset classes Strong root-cause analysis capability across systems, data feeds, and operational processes High degree of ownership and accountability for process outcomes and data quality Ability to operate independently in complex and ambiguous environments Cross-functional influence and stakeholder partnership skills Strong judgment balancing accuracy, timeliness, and business risk Other Requirements • Due to the financial nature and level of accountability of this position, a credit and criminal background check is required - The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires Sammons Financial Group Companies to notify you that, as a routine part of processing this application for employment, Sammons Financial Group may request a consumer report on you to verify all information contained in this application. Salary Range Information USD $76,158.00 - USD $158,663.00 /Yr. Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience. For a narrower salary range specific to your labor market, please inquire.
