Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Encompass Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our enterprise systems, ensuring seamless integration and performance across various platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of system architecture, infrastructure, and security protocols, with a focus on delivering reliable and scalable solutions within a dynamic environment. The Encompass Administrator will play a critical role in maintaining system integrity, implementing new features, and supporting ongoing operations to meet organizational objectives. Responsibilities • Manage and maintain enterprise systems including RAID controllers, VMware, AWS, Azure, and virtualization platforms such as ESXi. • Design, implement, and optimize system architecture utilizing microservices, solution architecture principles, and service-oriented architecture (SOA). • Administer databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring high availability and performance tuning. • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and other integrations using JavaScript, Python, Bash scripting, Shell scripting, and T-SQL. • Configure and monitor load balancing solutions, firewalls, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, and network security measures to ensure robust information security. • Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Docker containers with Kubernetes orchestration for scalable deployment. • Oversee system management tasks such as operating system administration (Windows/Linux), system design, system engineering, and system architecture planning. • Ensure compliance with SDLC methodologies while supporting Agile development processes. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects involving virtualization (VMware/ESXi), cloud services (AWS/Azure), and networking components. • Monitor system performance metrics and troubleshoot issues related to system design or infrastructure components. • Maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures in accordance with best practices for information security. Requirements • Proven experience in system administration with expertise in operating systems including Windows and Linux environments. • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as RAID controllers, SAN/NAS storage solutions, firewalls, VPNs, DHCP/DNS services. • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. • Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, Python, PowerShell/T-SQL for automation tasks. • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure along with RESTful API development. • Knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database; experience in database tuning is preferred. • Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP; experience with load balancing solutions is a plus. • Experience working within SDLC frameworks using Agile methodologies; familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins and Git is advantageous. • Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams. • Relevant certifications in systems engineering or network security are desirable but not mandatory.
