Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend-Heavy) | Java, Spring Boot, React | Seattle, WA (Onsite) Location: Downtown Seattle, WA (onsite 4 days/week) - Candidates local to Seattle would be given a strong preference Employment Type: Full Time, W-2 only Company: Samay Consulting Samay Consulting is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a long-term engagement with a leading enterprise client in downtown Seattle. We''re looking for a strong backend engineer who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves on the front end with React. This is a hands-on role on a high-visibility product team. What You''ll Do • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications across modern backend and front-end stacks • Build robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot • Develop event-driven services and data pipelines using Kafka • Build reusable, performant UI components in React • Design and integrate RESTful APIs with PostgreSQL-backed services • Deploy and operate services on AWS, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and reliability • Partner with product managers and UX designers to translate requirements into technical solutions • Contribute to architecture and design discussions and influence technical direction • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code; review code and mentor junior engineers • Support production releases, troubleshooting, and on-call rotations as needed What We''re Looking For • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus • Deep, hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot building production microservices • Solid experience with Kafka for event streaming or messaging • Strong SQL skills and production experience with PostgreSQL • Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, or similar) • Proficiency in React with real production front-end delivery, not just exposure • Experience designing RESTful APIs and distributed systems • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, ownership-driven mindset Nice to Have • CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or other high-traffic consumer platforms Details That Matter • Onsite in downtown Seattle 4 days per week, no exceptions • W-2 full-time employment with Samay Consulting; no C2C or third-party agencies • Must be authorized to work in the US
