About The Role Were seeking a driven Sales Development Representative to join Sam's early team. You'll lead outreach to startup founders, hiring managers, and decision makers, driving new client deals for fractional talent subscriptions. • Commission only for the 1st 90 days with an expectancy of 30-40hrs per week worked. • Requires the completion of an AI interview (voice only) as the next step before moving into the final round. • Previous tech-enabled startup experience required. This role begins as a 90-day contract-to-hire position, with potential to convert to a full-time salaried role with bonus compensation and benefits. Commission-based Compensation for the first 90 Days • Commission-only (contract period): $500-$1000 spot bonus per closed deal, paid immediately • 5% trailing commission throughout remainder of term • Average first-year salary + commission after conversion: $75K base + expected $50K-$70K commissions What You'll Do • Prospect and engage with startup founders and hiring managers via email, LinkedIn, and founder networks. • Go to founder and tech events across San Francisco to meet and nurture leads, filling top of funnel • Close fractional workforce contracts across Product, Engineering, Growth, and Admin roles. • Maintain CRM activity logs and manage deal follow-through from signed contract to first payment. • Collaborate with the founders of Sam to refine messaging and optimize outreach automations. Who You Are • Excited to enter the ground floor as a founding hire for an early stage startup. • You enjoy the trenches and the grind it takes to generate sales • You know how to generate, nurture, and close deals and have a proven record of doing so time and time again • Proven background in B2B or SaaS sales, ideally within startups or recruiting exposure. • Access to founder networks, early-stage startups, or venture-backed ecosystems. • Excellent communicator confident, articulate, and relationship-driven. • Comfortable in fast-paced, lean environments where initiative equals impact.
