Full Description

About Us We’re building the AI infrastructure powering the future of financial operations - starting with automating the most painful and complex workflows in loan servicing. Backed by a16z and Y Combinator, with $65M raised in Series A funding. 8-figure ARR < 2 years already serving > 20% of the auto lending industry, and processing millions of real customer calls and transactions daily. Fully deployed with major financial institutions - not just PoCs. We are expanding into new financial services segments! In-person office culture in San Francisco, CA. We're fully integrated with our customers, own the full stack, and are moving fast to bring modern AI into regulated industries where precision, reliability, and performance matter most. Why We're Hiring We're managing multiple product lines (Taylor Voice AI, Marshall Compliance, Disputes AI) serving 20+ enterprise customers. As our first product ops hire, you'll build the data infrastructure and frameworks that power decision-making across our product organization. The Role You'll build the operational infrastructure that keeps product teams running efficiently - dashboards that surface what's working, OKR frameworks that align teams, and processes that turn insights into improvements. You're the analytical backbone helping Product Managers make better decisions faster. What You'll Do Build executive dashboards tracking adoption, health scores, feature usage, and business impact across product lines Design SQL queries and data pipelines answering critical questions: Which features drive retention? Where do customers churn? What's our AI accuracy by use case? Own quarterly OKR process for Product and Engineering - run planning sessions, track progress, hold teams accountable Partner with PMs on launch coordination - create go-to-market checklists, rollout plans, and success metrics Synthesize customer feedback from CS, support tickets, and research into actionable insights with clear prioritization frameworks Run monthly product performance reviews with leadership - present what shipped, what's working, what needs attention Build operational playbooks: sprint planning templates, launch checklists, beta frameworks, feedback workflows Work with Engineering on technical planning - help scope work, estimate complexity, communicate progress to stakeholders What We're Looking For Must-Haves: 2-5 years in product ops, business ops, strategy & ops, or management consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Big 4) Strong SQL skills - write complex queries, join tables, extract insights from messy data without engineering help Experience with BI tools (Looker, Metabase, Tableau) building dashboards leadership actually uses Track record designing and implementing scalable processes at high-growth companies Strategic thinking with tactical execution - see the big picture but build the spreadsheet yourself Excellent stakeholder management - influence PMs, Engineering leads, and executives without formal authority Nice to Have: Fintech, lending, or regulated industry experience AI/ML product background - understand accuracy metrics and false positive rates Early startup ops or strategy hire experience Familiarity with product analytics tools and experimentation frameworks What Makes This Role Interesting Define how Salient measures product success as employee #1 in product ops Build this function from scratch and shape how product teams operate for years Work directly with Product and Engineering leadership on what to build next See immediate impact - your dashboards inform planning, pricing, and hiring decisions At Salient, we’re building at the edge of AI - fast, focused, and with real ownership. Sprints and major launches move quickly, and we look for people who are energized by that pace and ready to collaborate in person 4 days a week in our San Francisco office. We also offer a benefits package designed to support our full-time employees: medical, dental, and vision coverage, a generous 401(k), and catered lunches.
