Manage inventory accuracy through audits and cycle counts, analyze inventory data and trends, improve inventory management processes, and support operational teams.
Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of inventory control or supply chain analytical experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and excellent analytical and communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities: • Inventory Accuracy & Auditing: • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies. • Lead and coordinate annual physical inventory audits. • Investigate and resolve root causes of inventory variances (e.g., shipping errors, receiving errors, damage). • Maintain high data integrity within the ERP/WMS system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). • Data Analysis & Reporting: • Develop and generate regular KPI reports on inventory turnover, days on hand, fill rates, shrinkage, and accuracy. • Analyze inventory trends, forecast needs, and identify slow-moving or obsolete stock. • Create and maintain dashboards to provide real-time visibility into inventory levels for key stakeholders. • Model the financial impact of inventory decisions. • Process Improvement: • Identify opportunities to improve inventory management procedures and workflows. • Collaborate with procurement, warehousing, and logistics teams to enhance inventory flow and reduce waste. • Recommend and help implement optimal reorder points, safety stock levels, and min/max parameters. • Support the implementation of new systems or technologies related to inventory management. • Operational Support: • Work closely with the purchasing team to provide data for replenishment planning. • Partner with the warehouse team to address operational issues affecting inventory accuracy. • Assist in managing reverse logistics processes for returns and damaged goods. Required Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field. • Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory control, supply chain analysis, or a similar analytical role. • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Charts, Data Manipulation) is essential. • Hands-on experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or WMS (Warehouse Management System) software. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across different departments. • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with SQL for data querying. • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. • Certification in APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or other supply chain credentials. • Experience in [Your Industry, e.g., retail, manufacturing, distribution, e-commerce].
