Operations Assistant - Saint Rocco’s Treats Saint Rocco’s Treats is a fast-growing manufacturer of gourmet dog treats, toppers, and food. Our process is rooted in artisan craftsmanship, premium ingredients, and an obsessive commitment to quality. As we expand production and distribution, we’re looking for an organized, driven Assistant to support our Operations Manager in maintaining flawless inventory accuracy, production execution, and overall operational flow. Role Overview The Operations Assistant plays a critical role in helping us maintain ideal inventory levels, execute efficient production schedules, and ensure our manufacturing team runs smoothly day-to-day. This person will work closely with the Operations Manager to track inventory, support production planning, monitor team pacing, manage supplies, and provide overall operational visibility. Key Responsibilities Omni-Channel Order Creation & Fulfillment Instruction We are an omni-channel business that ships products DTC and B2B while also attending over 1000 events annually and investing heavily in strategic free sampling to grow our brand awareness. A major focus of your role is the efficient and accurate creation of the packing slips, shipping labels, and fulfillment instructions for orders within each of these categories daily. Production & Scheduling Support Assist the Operations Manager in executing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans. Ensure production teams have timely access to the required ingredients, packaging, and supplies. Communicate production priorities to team leads and help monitor workflow throughout the day. Inventory Tracking & Accuracy Maintain accurate counts of finished goods inventory. Conduct routine cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies. Flag low-inventory items proactively to avoid production delays. Supply & Purchasing Support Help gather supplier quotes and prepare purchase orders. Track incoming shipments and ensure materials arrive on schedule. Assist with vendor communication and follow-ups. Operations Reporting & Documentation Document team production output and daily accomplishments to track pace and efficiency. Organize data for evaluating productivity and identifying bottlenecks. Maintain clean, up-to-date operational logs, spreadsheets, and dashboards. General Operations Support Support floor organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness. Assist in onboarding new production staff (training checklists, equipment orientation, etc.). Troubleshoot day-to-day challenges and jump in where needed to keep production on track. What We're Looking For Skills & Experience • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Comfortable working in a production or warehouse environment. • Data entry and spreadsheet competence (Google Sheets / Excel). • Ability to track multiple moving parts and stay ahead of schedule changes. • Clear communicator—able to relay changes and updates across teams. • Prior operations, manufacturing, or inventory experience is a plus. Attributes & Fit • Proactive, seeing issues before they become problems. • Reliable and steady under pressure. • Enjoys a fast-paced, hands-on environment. • Comfortable wearing many hats. • Passion for dogs and the pet industry is a bonus! Physical Requirements • Ability to stand for extended periods as needed • Ability to lift 60 lbs • Comfortable and happy moving between office and production areas.
