We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Financial Project Manager to support the financial planning and execution of key projects across manufacturing operations as well as oversee financial operations for a manufacturing company. The ideal candidate has 5 - 8 years of experience, including time spent in a startup or high-growth environment, and thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional teams. This role blends financial analysis, project budgeting, and operational support—ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and making a tangible impact on business outcomes. You will partner with teams across finance, engineering, supply chain, and operations to drive cost control, ensure financial visibility, and support strategic growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and financial reporting. • Build and manage detailed project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models for new product launches, equipment installations, or process improvement initiatives. • Work closely with project stakeholders to align financial plans with operational timelines and deliverables. • Responsible for day-to-day running of finance and accounting in a manufacturing environment – including completing journal entries. • Conduct variance analysis and proactively identify cost risks or opportunities during project execution. • Support the development of business cases for capital investments (CapEx) and track financial performance post-implementation. • Prepare and present clear financial updates and recommendations to leadership. • Ensure financial controls, documentation, and compliance for all project-related expenditures. • Collaborate with accounting during month-end close to validate project spend and ensure accurate reporting. • Contribute to the design and improvement of financial processes in a fast-scaling environment. Qualifications: Education: • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. • CPA a plus but not required. Experience: • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, project finance, or accounting. • Experience in a startup or rapidly scaling manufacturing, hardware, or industrial company is highly valued. • Familiarity with capital projects, cost tracking, and cross-functional collaboration. • Must have hands on knowledge of QuickBooks. Skills: • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills. • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) and financial reporting tools. • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities. • Clear communicator, capable of influencing stakeholders across departments. • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership. Nice to Have: • Experience supporting new facility builds, equipment investments, or early-stage manufacturing operations. • Exposure to inventory, supply chain, or production finance processes. Work Environment: • In office position with occasional visits to manufacturing or project sites. • Some travel may be required depending on project locations.
